Capacity for basketball games was 16,530, slightly less for hockey events
The first concert held here was Glen Campbell in 1974. Led Zeppelin performed here twice. The final concert appearance by Elvis Presley was at Market Square Arena, June 26, 1977. Motley Crue filmed the video for Wild Side at MSA. KISS recorded portions of their live album, Alive III here.
Market Square Arena hosted many sold-out concert events, such as Fleetwood Mac, John Mellencamp, KISS, Bee Gees, and many more over its 25 year history. The arena was demolished July 08, 2001 after serving the city so well.
